The Willow Maid
The Willow Maid is a modern Celtic-style folk ballad written and produced by Erutan, telling the story of a nymph pursued by a man despite her protests. More information on the music can be found here.
These boards are my own interpretation of the narrative and were sketched and iterated upon for my Animation Creative Practices course in Fall 2022.
Shakti (est. release: 2022)
Shakti is a short film directed by Khushi Dalal and Navya Adipudi that follows the young character Ahani as she experiences Diwali (The Festival of Lights) for the first time. Scheduled for release in 2022, this short is currently in development and will begin production the summer of 2021. Working with the directors and fellow storyboard artists, my goal for these boards was to establish the shy and hesitant character of Ahani and the beautiful environment. Above is the first “final” pass of my boards.
Shakti is still under production and is scheduled for release in 2023.
Night Shift (2020)
Night Shift (2020) is a short film directed by Nicole Solis and co-directed by myself, Al Fontanilla. During the development of this short, I was the sole story artist and throughout production continued to make adjustments based on obstacles and limitations we came across as production progressed throughout the time of the Covid-19 pandemic. Above is the first “final” animatic for this short.
Adrift (2020)
Adrift (2020) was a student capstone that I was involved in form 2018 to 2020. I was pulled on a as a character designer, story artist, and matte painter. Above is my work as a story artist, creating boards in the initial development of the short.

The Neverending Story (2020)
In 2019 I had the privilege of storyboarding with my fellow colleagues on The Neverending Story (2020), a student capstone short film based on the 1979 novel. Working alongside another story artist, we developed the initial animatic for the short film, which was completed midyear 2020. Above are the storyboards I contributed to the project as an initial pass.
